CABIZBAJOS

[Book]

Cabeza -capita:head

Bajo-basses: low

From the Spanish: Posture, taciturn; suggests various moods in relation to sadness, exhaustion, melancholy, introspection, loneliness, contemplation.

Series conceived as a photo book, divided into 3 chapters, with a total of more than 40 photographs:

The first chapter examines and observes posture and the immense mental possibilities it can embody, always deeply rooted in the individual who is absorbed in himself, with his gaze fixed on the ground without seeing the ground, sometimes surrounded by an environment that seems alien to him at that moment.

The second chapter undertakes the same search as the previous one, but now in a fragmented and more abstract form, in the subtle gestures of a hand, a shoulder, a leg.

In the third chapter, the epilogue, there is a break that is forced by an astronomic phenomenon. The "cabizbajos" raise their heads and gather in the same place, at the same moment, to contemplate something sublime that goes beyond these gazes into the void.
